The thumbs retract when not in use. You know, like human ones.
So this is why cats usually don’t have thumbs — the ones who do die from chocolate poisoning :-(
So that’s where all my food is going! Also the new diet my cat is definitely not working.

if you ever have a chance to see lemurs up close, they seem to be the logical progression from cat to cat + thumbs
My cat has thumbs… He’s a mitten kitten. Much more deadly than regular kitties.
So that’s why my diabetic cat gets fatter on a restricted diet…
My sister still calls them disposable thumbs.
